Moke Dismantling

The initial stages included removing the easy bits. Roll bar, front and rear bars, front and rear seats, dash and all side panels, bonnet lights etc. I was unfortunate enough not to have any helping hands with the dismantling of the Moke. I managed to devise a few unorthodox methods for lifting the heavy stuff.

You can see in the below images the many ropes hanging from the rafters of my shed. I didn't have an engine stand so the next easiest (one man capable) method was to lift the body over the engine and leave the entire front sub frame standing. I simply used some bits of wood and a trolley jack to achieve this without too much trouble.

Although it worked, I do not endorse this method an anyway shape or form so please don't try this at home!
